Formerly known as the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center, this multi-use facility is one of the largest of its type in the US. The complex is comprised of the Cardinal Stadium, Freedom Hall, Broadbent Arena, the East Hall, the West Hall, the Pavilion, New Market Hall and the South Wing Conference Center.
Reflective of its name, the Freedom Hall is a multipurpose arena suitable for basketball and other sporting events, concerts, ice shows, the circus, tradeshows, conventions and more. The maximum capacity of the arena is 19,169 for concert seating and 18,749 for basketball.
Located on the grounds of the Kentucky Exposition Center, Cardinal Stadium opened in 1957 as the Fairgrounds Stadium. It is now used for baseball, football, field hockey, concerts and the Kentucky State Fair. An outdoor stadium, it has a maximum seating capacity of 47,925.
